Holdings in Company

Emerald Energy Plc (the “Company”) received notification on 17 June 2009 from Standard Life Investments Ltd, that as at 16 June 2009, it held voting rights in 3,203,197 ordinary shares of 10p each in the Company, representing approximately 5.113 per cent of the Company's reportable voting rights.

The total number of current voting rights in the Company is 62,661,613.
