Emerald Energy Plc (the “Company”) has been advised by JPMorgan Chase & Co that JPMorgan Asset Management (UK) Limited holds an interest in 3,001,330 ordinary shares of 10p each in the Company (“Ordinary Shares”), representing approximately 5.03 per cent. of the Company's issued ordinary share capital.

The total number of current voting rights in the Company is 59,592,994
