Holding in Company

The Company was notified on 18 March 2005 by Waterford Finance & Investment Limited ("Waterford") that, following the sale of 1,200,000 ordinary shares of 10 pence each in Emerald Energy ("Ordinary Shares"), Waterford now has an interest in 18,501,755 Ordinary Shares representing approximately 37.36 per cent. of the Company's issued ordinary share capital. The Waterford holding is held in the register under Teawood Nominees Limited 41525 ACCT and WF Invest Limited.
