Block Listing Application

Emerald Energy PLC (the “Company”) today announces the approval by the UK Listing Authority and the London Stock Exchange of the block listing application made on 2 March 2005 for up to 4,950,000 ordinary shares of 10 pence each in the Company to trade on the London Stock Exchange and to be admitted to the Official List upon issuance.
