Block Listing Application

Emerald Energy PLC (the “Company”) today announces that it will be making a block listing application to the UK Listing Authority and the London Stock Exchange for up to 4,950,000 ordinary shares of 10 pence each (“Ordinary Shares) in the Company to trade on the London Stock Exchange and to be admitted to the Official List upon issuance.

The block listing application will cover up to 4,950,000 Ordinary Shares that can be issued pursuant to the exercise of options under the Emerald Energy 1999 Share Option Scheme. On exercise, all of the Ordinary Shares will rank pari passu with the existing issued ordinary shares of the Company.
