Disclosure of Notifiable Interest Under Sections 198 – 202 Companies Act 1985

Emerald Energy Plc received notification on 27 April 2004 that the Resources Investment Trust Plc (registered in England and Wales with the registered number 4221682) sold 15,800,000 ordinary shares.

Resources Investment Trust Plc retains 250,000,000 ordinary shares, which, on the basis that the issued and outstanding share capital is 4,178,689,994 ordinary shares, represents 5.98 per cent. of the issued share capital.
