Emerald Energy plc ("Emerald" or the "Company") The Board of Directors of Emerald is pleased to announce Alastair Beardsall, an Executive Director of the Company, has been appointed as Executive Chairman with effect from 19 September 2003. On the news of his appointment Alastair Beardsall said " I am looking forward to the challenges ahead. We are excited about the Company's prospects in Colombia and have the funds to start a drilling program."
